Felipe Alfonso
Professor Felipe Alfonso is the Executive Director of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) Center for Corporate Responsibility and Co-Vice Chairman of AIM's Board of Trustees. http://www.aim.edu/ Prof. Alfonso also serves on the Asia Business Council Corporate Governance Task Force and is the Vice Chairman of the Manila Electric Company, the Philippines' largest power distribution firm. http://www.meralco.com.ph/ He is the Chairman of the Board of Corporate Information Solution (CIS), e-Meralco Ventures, Inc. (EMVI), and STI Inc.
An active professional and civic leader, Prof. Alfonso is a member of Bishops-Businessmen's Conference (BBC), Makati Business Club, Management Association of the Philippines and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. He was also the Chairman of the Association of Deans of Southeast Asian Graduate Schools of Management (ADSGM) until June 2002 and President of the International Management Development Network (INTERMAN). From 1991-2006, Prof. Alfonso was also the Director-General of the Philippine Committee of the Pacific Basin Economic Council (PBEC), an association of Asia-Pacific business leaders which promotes the expansion of trade and investment through open markets. http://www.pbec.org/
Prof. Alfonso works closely with a number of socio-civic organizations assisting poor and disadvantaged communities. Secretary Jose Livioko Atienza, Jr. (Lito Atienza)
Lito Atienza is a former Mayor of the City of Manila recently appointed by President as Secretary for the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. http://www.denr.gov.ph/ He served a three-year three-term limit for with a commitment for urban renewal for the Philippines' capital. Atienza's leadership can be described into three aspects; (1) social and community development where he focused on improving the welfare of senior citizens and of children, especially for abandoned children, (2) improving living conditions by improving government services and facilities, and (3) simplifying the bureaucracy in dealing with the city government of Manila.
Ambassador Jose L. Cuisia, Jr. Ambassador Jose L. Cuisia, Jr., is the Ambassador to the United States and former President and CEO of Philippine American Life and General Insurance Company (Philamlife), the largest and most diversified life insurance company in the U.S. http://www.philamlife.com.ph/ He is two-time president of the Philippine Life Insurance Association (PLIA), and he acts as Vice President of Life Insurance for the American International Group, Inc., and Vice Chairman of the Board of SM Prime Holdings. http://www.smprime.com/ He is also an administrator of the Philippine Social Security System, former Governor of Central Bank, and former Chairman of the Board of Far East Bank and Trust Company and its affiliates.
Dr. Jesus Estanislao. Dr. Jesus P. Estanislao is the chairman of the Foundation for Community Building in the Asia Pacific, president and CEO of the Institute of Corporate Directors, http://www.cipe.org/ and professor at the University of Asia and the Pacific. http://www.uap.edu He was the founding dean of the Asian Development Bank Institute in Tokyo (1998), founding president of the University of Asia and the Pacific (1992-1997), and founding executive director of the Center for Research and Communication (1969-1981). Dr. Estanislao holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University and an MA in Economics from Fordham University. He holds four honorary doctoral degrees from Angeles University, Xavier University, St. Paul University, and Manila Central University. Dr. Estanislao was awarded the Philippine Legion of Honor in 1992.
After the 1986 People Power revolution in the Philippines, Estanislao spent three years rehabilitating the Development Bank of the Philippines. In 1989, he was appointed to the cabinet of President Corazon Aquino, whom he served as Secretary of Economic Planning and Director General of the National and Economic Development Authority, and subsequently as Secretary of Finance (1990-1992). In the wake of a newly re-installed democracy, Estanislao supervised the Philippines' economic recovery and reform program. After leaving government, Dr. Estanislao was appointed the Philippine representative of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation's Eminent Persons Group by President Fidel Ramos. He currently is the Philippine representative in the Association of South East Asian Nations Eminent Persons Group.
Rolando Magat Rolando Magat is the Special Assistant to the Chairman of RJ Holdings, Inc. in Makati City where he broadcasts and markets TV, FM and AM radio stations. He earned his MPA in urban transportation from American University in 1978. Magat worked for World Bank between 1965 and 1980 where he prepared a five-year lending program, analyzed the financial status of borrowing countries, produced the budget and determined manpower requirements for a Latin American and Caribbean Division. From 1984 to 1994, Magat was president and owner of SAMS Hallmark Shop of Mexim International Corporation.
Alonso L. Tan Alonso Tan is the Luzon State Deputy of the Knights of Columbus. Tan graduated from Mapua Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Business, and from the University of the East with a degree in Administration. He is former Chairman of the ASEAN Fisheries Federation, Inc., and he is currently a businessman with the Philippine Fisheries Federation, Inc. http://nafc.da.gov.ph/fisheries.php Tan is also Executive Vice President of RBL Fishing Corporation and President of Inter-Island Deep Sea Fishing Association.
